SEPTEMBER 2005: BOSNIA

"Someday We'll Be Together" -- Mary Wilson brings together Bosnia's Ethnic Communities. During a recent seven-day trip to Bosnia, CultureConnect Ambassador Mary Wilson performed a series of concerts, was the keynote speaker at a youth conference and inspired young audiences throughout the country to "Dare to Dream", to mark the commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Peace accords.

JULY 2004: FROM BOTSWANA

Mary Wilson's visit to Dula Sentle, the orphan day care centre located in Otse village, Botswana.

JUNE 2004: BOTSWANA and MOZAMBIQUE

Gabarone, Botswana, and Moputu, Mozambique: Join Mary Wilson's travels through Southern Africa to exchange messages of hope with young people there, including those living with HIV/AIDS.

On June 8-9, she jammed with the Musicians' Association in Maputo, Mozambique and spoke to both an elementary school and a high school. She even sang at the Gil Vicente Club, a popular local cafe, one evening. From June 10-12, Ms. Wilson traveled to Gaborone, Botswana.

DECEMBER 2003: THE KENNEDY CENTER HONORS IRAQIS

Mary Wilson joined fellow Cultural Ambassadors Yo-Yo Ma and Michael Kaiser at the Iraqi National Symphony Orchestra's historic concert on December 9.

NOVEMBER 2003: INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK

Mary Wilson represents CultureConnect at International Education Week event at U.S. Department of State. Mary Wilson brought home her role as CultureConnect Ambassador on Tuesday, November 18, 2003, at the Educational and Cultural Affairs Exchange Fair at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. Richard L. Armitage, Deputy Secretary of State, was present and spoke about the importance of educational exchange.

OCTOBER 2003: SOUTH AMERICA

Mary Wilson in Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil, October 2003 Mary Wilson traveled to Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil in early October on a tour of music, friendship and inspiration. As CultureConnect Ambassador, Mary made many new friends, some who had never seen an American, and encouraged young audiences to "Dare to Dream."
